Hello Dear Friends,
I am glad that I can write you again. I was very busy last weeks.
Renia and Esther were in Hungary for 2 weeks for the Mission Training 2 and in that time we had a team from Challenge into Missions in Paicu for 1 week. We worked with children and youth, we helped the elderly people to cut wood for the winter. We also helped at the construcion - to clean the whole area from garbage, and the rest of not needed materials, bricks, stones etc. As you know we build the church building in the village and at the moment we already have the roof. This week we expect that all the windows and doors will be put in the building. Praise the Lord for the money He gave for this purpose. In next weeks we plan to:
- Put the canalisation pipes
- finish 3 rooms needed for the day centre activities (feeding project, children...)
- gain all the documents that are still needed for the construction (this is very difficult, I need a lot of wisdom and patience)
- connect the building with the electricity line - it is complicated too.
We still have a lot of work at the construction. It is quite big and we believe that God wants to do also a big (great) work in it in future. My desire is to have an Opening at 22 June 2008 so please pray for that. Pray for wisdom, for volunteers who can help us, for money we still need, for workers, and for revival in Paicu - that this building would be for many Christians to use.
I thank God for Esther and Renia who work now in Paicu but please pray that God would give them clear directions about their future, what to do next year. Now I am a bit worried, because Esther stays only till May and Renia till June and please pray that God would send the right people in their place to serve in Paicu.
Maybe if you pray a lot for that - God will answer, and one of you will come for 1 year to start, and later we will see, maybe for longer (haha).
After the time when we had CIM team for 1 week, we went to another place on the south of Moldova - Pelinei. We had a very busy and hard week. We helped to paint the house of one family who were very poor. I was shocked to see that some people in Moldova are so, so poor. I understood also that this poverty is not only material but also spiritual.
Please pray that God would help these people to understand that our welth is to know Him. I thought that Paicu is poor, but really it is very blessed. I believe that in our village many people will become rich - by knowing the Father in heaven.
One day we also went to help the old lady who used to be a teacher in the past. We cleaned the house, washed courtains, cut wood... I was very encouraged to see that the local church cares for such people who are rejected by the rest of the society. For this lady I have learnt something - It doesn't matter who you were in the past but important is who God makes you to be in future.
In addition, on the 7th November I was in the ambassy, but they postponed my meeting with the consul and I will go again 13 th Nov. Please pray that I could receive visa. If I do, I will go to England for 4 months.
I would like to write something about my family. We have some problem with my Mum's health. She had some problems with gall bladder. We gather some money (we need 300 USD) to do the operation but now she has some other ginecological problems. Doctors did the cancer tests and now she is taking some treatment for 10 days. After that we will see if she has to have an operation. Please pray for peace and joy for her and that God would heal her, but also that GOd would provide money for the operation if it is needed. In Moldova if you don't pay for medical treatment you will be left without help, even in hard cases. For my family it is very hard.
We praise God for all He does in our village.
